The Crop Sciences Graduate Organization (CSGO) in collaboration with GDM is pleased to announce that Science & Spirits is back for Spring 2023.

Aiming to encourage networking and inspire collaboration, this event will bring together UIUC undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and faculty in the field of plant sciences with industry representatives.

Program

5:00 PM – 5:20 PM: Opening remarks
5:20 PM – 5:50 PM: GDM keynote speaker
5:50 PM – 6:30 PM: Lightning talks
6:30 PM – 6:45 PM: Break & Networking
6:45 PM – 7:45 PM: Poster session & Networking
7:45 PM – 8:00 PM: Closing remarks & Award session
During the event, bar service and hors d’oeuvres will be provided.

Registration

Submission deadline: March 17, 2023.

Presenting your research is not required to attend the event, but all participants must register.
Postdoctoral researchers, faculty, and industry representatives are welcome to submit posters for the poster sessions. However, only undergraduate and graduate presentations will be considered for the competition.

Awards

Separate awards will be given for top poster and lightning talk presentations. Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible.
